The Anita Factor
In 2010, a group of six writers took a workshop with author Anita Daher. The attendees bonded over the weeks of the program and afterwards they formed The Anita Factor, children’s writers’ group. Then commenced a journey of friendship and a love of writing for youth of all ages.
Over a one year period in 2014 and 2015, nearly every member published a book. This was like winning the publishing lottery — for so many writers from one writers’ group to be published in such close succession, is quite an impressive feat.
On, Saturday, July 18th, 2015, they held their first group book signing event – Summer Reading Blast at The Forks, Winnipeg’s main tourist attraction.
